St. Joseph Medal of Appreciation
Every year, each parish of the Archdiocese of Hartford is
permitted to recommend to the Archbishop, a parishioner who has
exemplified Christian witness by the sharing of his/her time and
talent with the local faith community. The medal is presented at
a ceremony usually held in March at the Cathedral of Saint
Joseph in Bloomfield.
The medals depict an image of St. Joseph on the front and the
Archbishop crest on the back. Each pastor is invited to select
as the recipient of the medal, a parishioner who exemplifies
outstanding, faithful service to the parish.
The following recipients were commended on their many
years of service and their quiet, unheralded acts that build up
their parishes.
The Archbishop's message to all recipients: "You are the pillars
of the churches." |
